Content Report (Insights)
This feature is currently in Beta and available to a limited group of customers. General availability for all Heretto customers will follow the conclusion of the Beta phase. Full rollout dates will be shared when available.
During the Beta phase, only users assigned the Administrator role can access and use Insights reports. Following full rollout, all users with authoring permissions (Author, Editor/Manager, and Administrator) will be able to use Insights.
The Content Report gives your team an easy way to understand the shape of your content set. For example, it can tell you how much content you have, how it's distributed across types, statuses, and owners, and how it's being used.
The Content Report is a reporting capability that surfaces metrics about your content and its reuse across a selected scope in Heretto CCMS. It provides high-level counts, customizable charts, and a filterable object listing, giving your team a structured way to analyze content at scale rather than file by file.
The Content Report is most valuable in these areas:
- Content set analysis
-
See total object and word counts, content type distribution, and locale coverage for any scope, from a single map to your entire branch.
- Custom breakdowns
-
Build your own charts to segment content by the facets that matter to you, like content type, status, owner, locale, or metadata.
- Repeatable analysis
-
Save a specific combination of filters and charts as a view, so you and your team can return to the same analysis later without rebuilding it.
Content Report Operation and Guidelines
Before you start working with the Content Report, familiarize yourself with these facts and guidelines.
- Access
-
-
During the Beta phase, this report is available only to users assigned the Administrator role. Following full rollout, Administrators will be able to grant access to users with authoring permissions (Author, Editor/Manager, and Administrator) through Permissions.
-
- Filtering
-
-
Filters support owner, status, content type, and metadata (string, date range, number, or boolean), and apply to every tile, chart, and listing on the page.
-
A text search narrows results by content title, file name, body content, or metadata.
-
- Charts
-
-
Each chart can be configured with a title, description, Y-axis (Objects or Words), X-axis/Group By (Content Type, Status, Owner, Locale, or a metadata field), chart type (Bar or Pie), size, an optional Stack By, and a time bucket (Day, Month, Quarter, or Year) for date-based grouping.
-
Hovering over a chart segment shows its label, total count, and percentage of the scoped content set.
-
Charts can be limited to show only the top results. If a chart would otherwise show more than 200 segments, it's automatically limited to the top 200 and labeled accordingly.
-
Up to 16 charts can be added to a single view.
-
- Views
-
-
You can save your scope settings as a named view and switch between saved views from the View drop-down at the top of the report.
-
Views are shared across your organization, not private to individual users.
-
Up to 50 shared views can be saved per report in the CCMS.
-
- File listing
-
-
Reflects whatever filters are currently applied and updates as filters change.
-
Columns are sortable, and only the columns currently shown are included in a CSV download.
-
- Known limitations
-
-
Y-axis options for charts are currently limited to Objects and Words.
-
DITAVAL-based filtering is not currently supported.
-
Views are currently a shared, organization-wide resource; personal (per-user) views are supported on the backend but not yet exposed in the interface.
-
