Duplicate Files

You can duplicate images, topics, and maps, but you cannot duplicate folders.

Check if the files you want to duplicate are referencing other files.
Important: You can check this by examining the outgoing links in the Links tab. If there are outgoing links, duplicating the file to a new location in one operation would result in broken links in the file. If you want to avoid broken links, first duplicate the file to the same location and then move it to a new location.
  1. In the Content Library, right-click the desired files and select Duplicate.

    You can select a number of resources and duplicate them in one operation. You can select a range of resources while pressing the Shift key.

  2. Optional: Click Select Location and navigate to and select where you want to copy the file(s) to.
  3. Click Save.
Note:

When you duplicate a file or map, all content is identical to the original file or map except that the root element ID is new and unique.
